Community Meeting of Pupils, Parents and Friends of the School - Garden Festival 2019
On the afternoon of 27 June 2019, pupils from both the middle school and high school, together with their parents and class teachers M. Coufalová and D. Venclík, dressed in costumes according to different holidays, prepared thematic stalls, introduced visitors to the cultural differences in the celebration of holidays in different countries (St. Patrick's Day, Oktoberfest, Halloween, St. Valentine's Day, Easter) and offered delicacies associated with the seasons. The format of the meeting in the school's courtyard was reminiscent of a summer happening. With the help of the garden architect K. Leffler and his team of gardeners, it was possible to involve all participants in planting plants together in the prepared beds with the singing of three school music groups (two teachers and one student).
This made the event an unforgettable experience for all. Singing and speaking was done in both Czech and English. On the stage under the trees, there were speeches, interesting facts, and thank-yous in both languages. The meeting, reminiscent of a summer festival, was held in the spirit of the school's philosophy, where everyone could feel accepted, no matter what they look like, where they come from or what language they speak.
